On 19 November 2024, the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) participated in the panel discussion titled “Experience Sharing for National Government Cybersecurity Agencies” during the 2024 ITU Regional Asia-Pacific CyberDrill in Brunei Darussalam, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The regional exercise took place from 19 to 21 November 2024 in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The discussion brought together representatives and cybersecurity experts from government agencies across the region to exchange experiences, best practices, and perspectives on responding to increasingly complex cyber threats. The session also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and regional cybersecurity partners to build sustainable cyber resilience.

The programme also highlighted capacity-building approaches, including cybersecurity training strategies, certification programmes, online learning platforms, and the development of centres of excellence supported by partners and relevant organizations. These efforts are intended to help participating countries strengthen their long-term readiness to address evolving cyber threats.

In the afternoon session, participants joined a technical training on building malware analysis capability for CERTs, which formed part of the broader exercise to enhance cyber incident response skills, threat analysis capability, and cross-border operational cooperation among member states.

NCSA’s participation in this exercise reflects Thailand’s continued commitment to strengthening national cyber capabilities while deepening international cooperation across the Asia-Pacific region to prevent and respond to cyber threats more effectively in the digital era.
