On 25 August 2025, the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence signed a memorandum of understanding on cybersecurity cooperation at the Surasakmontri Room, Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence. The signing ceremony was led by AVM Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary General of the National Cyber Security Agency, and the Permanent Secretary for Defence.

This cooperation was established to support capacity building between the two parties, as well as to promote the exchange of resources, knowledge, and operational practices in support of missions aligned with the Cybersecurity Act B.E. 2562 (2019) and related subordinate regulations.

The collaboration focuses on strengthening the country’s cyber reserve personnel, developing mechanisms for cybersecurity incident response and management, conducting cyber threat response exercises, and jointly advancing cybersecurity training courses to meet international standards.
It also covers the promotion of standards and governance, inter-agency coordination, cyber risk prevention and reduction, and response and remediation measures for cyber incidents that may affect national cybersecurity. The partnership is expected to contribute meaningfully to Thailand’s long-term cybersecurity readiness and national security mission.
