31 October 2025 — The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and the Ministry of Energy signed a significant cooperation agreement to strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities of Thailand’s energy sector, which is considered one of the country’s critical infrastructures.
The agreement was signed by Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Committee, and Mr. Prasert Sinsukprasert, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, at the Ministry of Energy.

A key component of this collaboration is the establishment of the Energy Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Energy ISAC). The Energy ISAC will serve as a central network for sharing and analyzing cyber threat intelligence among energy sector operators and relevant organizations. This mechanism will enable stakeholders to monitor, detect, alert, and respond to rapidly evolving and complex cyber threats more effectively and in accordance with international standards.

This initiative also reinforces the Ministry of Energy’s vision of ensuring that Thailand achieves energy security while promoting clean energy to drive sustainable economic growth across all sectors. In this context, cybersecurity plays a critical role as a fundamental pillar supporting the operation of energy systems in the digital era.
The collaboration not only aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness and capabilities within the energy sector but also contributes to strengthening the national cyber threat intelligence ecosystem to better address the growing risks of cyber warfare. Ultimately, these efforts will help ensure that Thailand’s energy systems can operate securely, reliably, and continuously.
