The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has announced a significant change in how it shares cybersecurity-related information. Starting May 12, 2025, CISA will discontinue general updates on its “Cybersecurity Alerts & Advisories” webpage and will shift to using social media and email as primary channels for disseminating cybersecurity alerts and guidance. The goal is to enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of distributing critical information.
The website will now be reserved exclusively for high-priority or urgent content, such as alerts about newly discovered threats or major cyber incidents with significant impact. CISA says this move aims to ensure that urgent updates are not buried under routine announcements and can be accessed more easily. The agency will continue sharing key information with its partners and stakeholders as before and recommends the public subscribe to email alerts via CISA.gov and follow @CISACyber on X (formerly Twitter) to stay up to date.
For those who previously tracked Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog updates via RSS feed, CISA recommends subscribing to the “KEV” topic through GovDelivery for continued notifications. This change comes in response to feedback from CISA’s stakeholders, and the agency expressed appreciation for that input, reaffirming its commitment to improving communication and transparency.
